Saying Welcome with Burgers and Dogs

Utah State University’s Housing and Food Services sponsored a “Welcome Back BBQ” Wednesday, Sept. 22. The event was open to all students living in the Married and Single Student Area (MASA).

“We try to do this each year,” said Steven Jenson, director of Housing and Food Services. “We want to welcome students back to campus.”

Hundreds of students reside in Aggie Village, the University Town House and West Stadium Villa complexes, and all were invited to feast on free hamburgers and hot dogs while speaking to representatives from the Housing Operations staff.

According to Jenson, the goal for having the BBQ each year is to interact with students and get valuable insights into their needs.

“Our biggest desire,” said Jenson, “is to let students know how much we appreciate having them as residents.”
