Save the Date: Science Unwrapped 'Hides in Plain Sight' Nov. 11
USU alum John Howell '95 is featured Science Unwrapped speaker Friday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. in USU's Eccles Science Learning Center Auditorium. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.
John Howell, Utah State University alum and professor of quantum optics at the University of Rochester, is featured speaker for the university’s Science Unwrapped program Friday, Nov. 11. Howell presents “Hiding in Plain Sight: Exploring Cloaking Technology” at 7 p.m. in the Emert Auditorium, Room 130, of the Eccles Science Learning Center. Refreshments and hands-on learning activities follow his talk.
Howell’s presentation, the final event of Science Unwrapped’s fall 2016 “Science at the Movies” series, will reference cloaking scenes from the Harry Potter film series, the Star Trek film series and Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol. Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters from any of these movies.
Hosted by USU’s College of Science, Science Unwrapped is free and open to all ages.
