Safeguarding Water Systems

Water system contamination by an earthquake or terrorists is a worst-case scenario for public health officials. A Utah State University spin-off company is developing detection equipment that would aid efforts to detect microbial contamination immediately, warn people not to drink the water, fix the problem, and notify citizens when the water is safe to drink.
