Running for Leukemia Fundraiser
Firehouse Pizzeria’s Logan location (880 S. Main) is the site of a fundraising party for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and efforts of a Utah State University group that has joined the Leukemia Society’s Team in Training program. The team plans to run the Salt Lake City half or full marathon in April. The USU-based team, joined by a member of the community, has committed to raise $7,500 in the effort.
The fundraising pizza party, sponsored by USU’s Deaf Education Student Association, is Sunday, Jan. 27, from 4-9 p.m. Tickets for USU students with current student ID are $15 or two for $25. Tickets for members of the public are $25 or two for $40, and $5 for children under the age of 8. Special prices are available for families.
In addition to an all-you-can-eat pizza and pasta buffet, tickets include soda and free refills and one raffle ticket. The raffle features multiple prizes, including Beaver Mountain lift tickets, RockHaus day passes, a LeNonne Restaurant gift certificate and more. The jazz band Ryan Gregson and Triple Threat provides music during the fundraiser.
