Road Tour Successful

Three recent “mini-Road Scholars tours” to venues along the Wasatch Front resulted in impressive contact with prospective students and their parents each night. President Albrecht led a team of administrators, representatives from each college, including some deans, and all the support units at Utah State University to sites in Davis County, Provo and south Salt Lake City.

With a focus on student recruitment, President Albrecht said the evening Open Houses were a resounding success. Almost 1,000 people showed up at the Salt Lake City event alone, with the final, three-evening contact tally at nearly 2,000 people.

President Albrecht will again take the entire team to Preston, Idaho, for a full day of activities Feb. 2.

The net result of the Wasatch Front open houses was 161 new applications, 118 scholarships awarded on the spot and the review of 121 transcripts of students who have already applied and who are still deciding.
