Purifying Plants
Houseplants play an important role in cleaning air pollutants we breathe indoors, says USU Extension horticulture specialist Loralie Cox. Certain houseplants, such as philodendron, spider plant and golden pathos, remove as much as 87 percent of indoor air pollutants. To clean indoor air it is necessary to use one potted plant per 100 square feet space.
