ProfNet Founder Wraps Up Media & Society Series at USU

Dan Forbush, founder and president of ProfNet and one of America’s most influential public relations practitioners, will speak Tuesday, March 6, at Utah State University on “Beyond MySpace: The Future of Online Personas.”

Forbush’s talk, part of the Media & Society Lecture series sponsored by the department of journalism and communication, will be at noon in the Taggart Student Center Auditorium. The public is invited.

 

Forbush will trace the evolution of online personas and project their future. His talk will stress the importance of online personas in personal and professional relationships and include strategies for managing them for individuals, universities and businesses.

 

PR Week named Forbush one of the 100 most influential PR people of the 20th century. He launched ProfNet, an online resource that connects journalists with experts on any subject, in 1992.

 

Forbush recently began “ExpertWiki” as an experiment in online community-building.
