President Albrecht Thanks Retirees

President Stan Albrecht joined those attending Utah State University's annual retirement dinner Friday, May 13, in an event that celebrated the achievements of the men and women who have served the university.

 

Each year the university honors its retirees in an event that brings together those from various departments and programs from across campus. This year's celebration recognized the 65 individuals who are retiring from the university.

 

"The university runs on the teamwork of all its people," the retirees were told. "You, in this room, have given greatly. You have given your heart and soul to this institution, and we recognize and appreciate all you have given to this great place. Congratulations and thank you as you finish your work at Utah State and get ready for the next great thing in your lives."

 

Guests at the retirement dinner included Jay Hicken, president-elect of the Utah State Emeriti, and his wife, Margaret. Also attending were members of the university's board of trustees, R. Brent Nyman and his wife, Ellen, Lynette Hansen and her husband, Dell Loy, and L.J. Godfrey and his wife, Lisa.

 

All those who retired were invited to join the Emeriti Association.

 

During the program, a video presentation paid tribute to the retirees, and framed retirement citations and watches were presented.
