To avoid overspending on holiday gifts, review your gift list and set spending limits, advises Barbara Rowe, Utah State University Extension specialist. Talk with family and friends about drawing names for gifts. Consider gift certificates promising your time and talents, such as babysitting or car washing, rather than a store-bought present.
