Photograph to be Included in Coffee Table Book

A photograph by College of Education and Human Services staff member Wendy Bair will be included in a coffee table book. The photo was submitted to an online source, Circle of Photographers, by Bair, a staff assistant in the Office of Research Services in the college.

The photograph, “Wyoming Yesteryear,” was noted by the editors who recognized its technical qualities. The editors said they particularly appreciated the “asymmetric composition and light mix used throughout.”

Bair said the photograph was taken approximately five years ago. She has been interested in photography since her youth.

“I've always been interested in photography,” Bair said. “My grandmother gave me an old black and white camera when I was probably about 10, and I've been taking pictures ever since.”

Bair said she finally took the plunge and decided to submit several photos to a number of online sites.

“Everyone kept telling me my photos were great, so I decided, ‘why not?’”

Not only was “Wyoming Yesteryear” accepted, a second photo by Bair has been accepted in another coffee table book. That photo, “Endless Journeys,” is a sunset photo taken from the Snake River Overlook near Teton National Park.

As to “Wyoming Yesteryear,” it will be published in “Photo Vibes,” published by a company based in Montreal, Canada. The release date has not been announced.

"Wyoming Yesteryear" will appear in "Photo Vibes"
