Paula Scott Named Salt Lake County Extension Director

Salt Lake County Extension Director Paula ScottPaula Scott has been selected as the Extension county director for Salt Lake County, effective March 1, announced Jack Payne, vice president and dean for Extension.

"Paula brings both her leadership experience from her current and past Extension assignments, and also her university training through her master's degree (social sciences) with an emphasis in public administration. Paula has garnered great Salt Lake County government support."

Scott will maintain her leadership of the EFNEP program — Expanded Food and Nutrition Education and Family Nutrition Programs — while Kay Evans has stepped forward to extend her expertise to help in the ongoing training of all EFNEP teachers previously taught by Evans and Scott.

Scott will divide her time between the country director position and EFNEP.

The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education and Family Nutrition Programs are services of Utah State University Extension. They are unique national programs designed to reach limited resource audiences. The goal is to improve the nutrition, health, and well-being of families.
