Paintings by former Theatre Arts Department head Sid Perkes are featured in a one-man exhibit sponsored by the Alliance for the Varied Arts in Logan. The exhibit can be seen at the Thatcher Young Mansion (35 West 100 South) Jan. 9-31.

A long-time member of the local arts community, Perkes retired from Utah State in spring 1999. With a background in directing, designing and teaching, he now explores his artistic inclinations through painting and writing. In addition to his original works, he has a series of note cards that include reproductions of his art work. Limited prints are also available.

Gallery hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
