Operational Excellence Conference Two-Week Countdown

Partners in Business at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business hosts the 41st annual Operational Excellence Conference, Oct. 14-15, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Eccles Conference Center on the Utah State University Logan campus.

Operational excellence is striving for greatness, using whatever methodology best fits. It is developing, training and encouraging individuals to seek perfection within the organization.

No matter where you are on the “journey” towards operational excellence this conference will further the skills necessary that will allow your organization to advance to the next level, conference organizers said. During the conference, leaders in this dynamic field will strengthen understanding of cutting–edge knowledge and philosophies of operational excellence. The knowledge will allow participants and their organization to develop new and innovative ways to create value for customers.

This year’s speakers represent multiple organizations, including Blendtec, JD Machine Corp, Barry-Wehmiller, Inc., Laurie Carey Consulting, The Ghannad Group, Disaster Kleenup International, John Kim and Associates, Icon, Ophir-Spiricon, Lifetime Products, Presto Products, Morinda and the Utah Transit Authority.

An additional workshop with John Kim is Friday, Oct. 16, from 8 a.m. to noon on the 9th floor of the Business Building. The workshop covers “Implementing the Shingo Model” and the associated improvements to achieve “Excellence in Operations.”

Those interested are encouraged to register for the chance to network and connect to the innovative business leaders from various organizations.
