Only Women Need Apply?

USU political scientist Mike Lyons isn't surprised that President Bush didn't come up with another female nominee for Supreme Court justice. If Bush had a well-qualified woman in mind, who also satisfied the tough political criteria, he would have already nominated her, says Lyons. He doubts Democrats will attempt a filibuster to block Alito's appointment.
