On-Line Ed Needs Classroom Etiquette

Do on-line communications embolden people to behave in a less civil manner than in face-to-face interactions? Yes, say Utah State University researchers who have monitored student conduct in on-line classes. The impersonal nature of on-line communication, coupled with the absence of body language, facial expression and tone of voice, may contribute to miscommunication and hostility.
