Old Lyric Repertory Company Open

The Old Lyric Repertory Company, the advanced theatre performance and production program operated by the Utah State's Department of Theatre and the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, has opened its 37th season. The season sports five shows in place of the usual four playing in repertory through Aug. 9.

On Golden Pond opened June 12, and will be joined by the popular musical Forever PlaidJune 19. On Golden Pond features the talents of OLRC founder W. Vosco Call in the role of Norman Thayer. The play is a heartfelt story of an older couple's struggle to face the aging process. (Read more about On Golden Pond.)

Forever Plaid is a rollicking farce where four young men try to stage their first show, and the joy of the occasion is only heightened by the familiar tunes they sweetly sing throughout, said Colin Johnson, production director and OLRC producing artistic director. (Read more about Forever Plaid.)
