Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art Features Two Korean Artists

The Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art, located on the Utah State University campus in Logan, Utah, presents the works of two outstanding artists from South Korea who now live and work in Utah. The exhibit, When Gesture Finds Its Power, is curated by Frank McEntire, sculptor and independent curator.

 

McEntire is the former art critic for The Salt Lake Tribune and Salt Lake Magazine. Formerly executive director of the Utah Arts Council, he curated this exhibit, his second for the museum, as a service to the council.

 

When Gesture Finds Its Power is on display March 4 through April 30.

 

The museum collaborated with Annie Kim, instructor of Korean in Utah State University’s department of languages, philosophy and speech communication, and the two artists featured in the exhibition, Hyunmee Lee and JinMan Jo, for a discussion of  Korean culture and art. The discussion was held earlier this month.
