Nominations Sought for Commencement 2008

During Utah State University’s spring commencement each year there are many highlights.  Commencement speakers provide thought-provoking speeches, and worthy recipients are awarded honorary degrees. 

Ed Reeve, chair of the USU honorary degrees and awards committee, asks for input from the campus community and seeks nominations for honorary degrees for spring 2008 and a commencement speaker for the spring 2009 graduation ceremony.
 
The deadline for nominations is Friday, Nov. 30.
 
The committee is looking for individuals who have shown sustained activity of uncommon merit, people who have achieved a prominent career nationally or internationally, or those who have shown significant service beyond the normal expectations of their profession to Utah State University, the community or the state of Utah.
 
To nominate candidates, complete the forms available online.  
 
A list of past Honorary Degree recipients is available for review online as well.
