Nominations for the Golden Mouse

The provost's office seeks nominations for the Golden Mouse Award. The award was inaugurated in fall 2001 to recognize those who have integrated technology in teaching and learning in innovative ways. Individuals and departments have won the award in the past.

Last year's winner was Robert Mills from the Business Information Systems Department. He was honored for integrating technology in teaching and learning. He implemented interaction with major organizations, including the Delta Center/Utah Jazz, Bourns Manufacturing and ATK Thiokol.

Ronda Menlove was also honored in 2004. At that time she was extension director for the Department of Special Education and Rehabilitation. She developed an electronic syllabus used in the department of special education and rehabilitation and by the department's advisors in extension. She also led the development of a video desktop course.

Nomination deadline for the Golden Mouse Award this year is Nov. 15 and can be submitted online to the provost's office. Questions about the award can be submitted to Gary Straquadine, vice provost for academic and faculty services.
