Nominations for Commencement Speaker and Honorary Degree Recipients Sought

Utah State University Interim Provost Noelle Cockett has issued a call for nominations for the honorary degree recipients for 2006 commencement. Nominations for the 2007 graduation speaker are sought as well. The call for nominations is open to the public, alumni and members of the campus community.
 
Nominations must include a completed nomination form, a short summary of the individual's qualifications, emphasizing those considered most meritorious, and a complete resume or curriculum vita. Letters of recommendation are considered appropriate and are encouraged.

Those serving as administrators, faculty or staff at Utah State University are not eligible for these awards. Emeriti are eligible, even if engaged in teaching or research for the university. Elected officials of the state of Utah and its subordinated units and members of the state legislature (during their terms of office) are ineligible.
 
Nomination forms must be returned by Friday, October 21, to Gary Straquadine, vice provost for Academic and Faculty Services, Utah State University, 1435 Old Main Hill, Logan UT 84322-1435.
