Nominations for Commencement

Executive Vice President and Provost Stan L. Albrecht has issued a request calling for nominations for honorary degree recipients for 2004 commencement. Nominations for the 2005 graduation speaker are sought as well.

Nominations must include the following:

Completed nomination forms,
Short summary of the individual's qualifications, emphasizing those considered most meritorious,
Complete resume or curriculum vita,
Letters of recommendation (considered appropriate and are encouraged)

Those serving as administrators, faculty or staff of Utah State University ordinarily are not eligible for these awards. Emeriti are eligible, even if engaged in teaching or research for the university. Elected officials of the State of Utah and its subordinate units and members of the state legislature (during their terms of office) are not ordinarily eligible.

Nomination forms must be returned by Friday, Sept. 26, to Chris Fawson, vice provost for Academic and International Affairs, Utah State University, Logan, UT 84322-1435.
