Folk beliefs concerning love and marriage, collected by student researchers, fill the Fife Folklore Archives at Utah State University. Single and seeking your soulmate? Grab an apple, twist the stem and recite the alphabet, one letter per twist. When the stem breaks, that’s the first letter of your intended’s name.
