Need that Special Gift for Your Sweetie? USU Ceramics Guild can Help
USU's student Ceramics Guild holds a Valentine’s Day sale Wednesday, Feb. 11, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Luke’s Café on the Quad.
It’s that time of the year — love is in the air and we can’t avoid that thanks to the chocolate, greeting card, restaurant and floral industries. The advertising barrage is seen and heard everywhere, and the pressure to get the right gift for that special someone in our lives can be a challenge.
But, Utah State University’s Ceramics Guild has a practical solution for your gift-giving dilemma — a hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind ceramic mug that can be found at the guild’s annual “Mug Your Valentine Sale.”
Mugs, all created by members of the guild, are available at Luke’s Café on the Quad Wednesday, Feb.11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Prices start at $8 and the mugs come with a free beverage refill. So, bring that special someone to Luke’s and share a mug of something warm and heat things up for an early Valentine’s Day.
The USU Ceramics Guild holds several popular sale events during the year, including fall’s chili bowl sale, as fundraising projects to support guild activities. All proceeds of the “Mug Your Valentine” sale will support travel to the annual national ceramics conference, held this year in Providence, R.I.
So, support your fellow Aggies while finding a unique gift for that special valentine.
Luke’s Café on the Quad is located in the Agricultural Science Building on USU’s Logan campus.
