Native American Storytelling with Pat Timbimboo at Museum of Anthropology

Utah State University’s Museum of Anthropology continues its “Saturdays at the Museum” series Oct. 4 with Shoshone stories told by guest speaker Pat Timbimboo from the Northwestern band of Shoshone. She will also give a lecture on the origins of Native American storytelling.

“Storytelling is an entertaining and interesting way to learn more about the Shoshone community,” said Bonnie Jean Knighton from the museum staff. “Children will certainly enjoy hearing entertaining stories of how the eagle went bald or how the wood tick became flat.”

 

Timbimboo will be at the museum during the entirety of its Saturday hours. USU students and members of the public are invited to visit the museum any time during the 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday hours.
