Meteor Showers Change Atmosphere

Utah State University researchers have discovered that as meteors enter the Earth’s atmosphere their rapid spinning causes small fragments to be ejected in all directions. During a meteor shower, large amounts of meteor fragments may be able to chemically alter large portions of the atmosphere.
