Marla Boyer Earns Certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources

Marla Boyer, a senior human resources specialist in the office of Human Resources at Utah State University, recently passed the rigorous test for certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). The certification, awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute, signifies that Boyer possesses theoretical knowledge and practical experience in human resource management, demonstrating a mastery of the body of knowledge in the field. There are fewer than 300 HR professionals in Utah who hold this certification.

“Certification as a human resource professional clearly demonstrates a commitment to personal excellence and to the human resource profession,” said Susan Meisinger, SPHR president and CEO of the national Society for Human Resource Management. HRCI awards two levels of certification: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

 

In addition to her position in Human Resources at USU, Boyer is the current president of the Bridgerland Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management.
