Marketplace Employee Carson Geiger heads to X-Games
USU Food Services employee Carson Geiger is on his way to represent the United States at the 2015 X-Games in Aspen, Colo.
Utah State University Dining Services Marketplace employee Carson Geiger is on his way to represent the United States at the 2015 X-Games in Aspen, Colo., held Jan. 22-25.
Geiger is slated to compete in the Special Olympics dual slalom category.
The athlete said he enjoys a variety of sports, including basketball, soccer and golf. It was at age 6 that his father took him downhill skiing but he couldn’t keep the tips of his skis together. So, his father learned to snowboard in order to teach his son. From that point, it was “love at first run” for Geiger who has now been snowboarding for eight years. He has participated in several area and state events and has won gold in every snowboarding event he has entered.
