Less Moola for Milk?
Milk prices received by producers in 2004 and early 2005 were at or near record levels, says USU economist Bruce Godfrey. By February 2006, prices dropped significantly. Godfrey says production exceeding demand is the main reason. But the demand for milk products among American consumers remains strong, he says, with cheese leading the way.
