Learn About Islam at the USU Museum of Anthropology
In the continuation of the Saturday activity series, the Utah State University Museum of Anthropology continues the new year with activities Saturday, Jan. 26, teaching guests about the culture of Islam.
USU students and members of the public are invited to the museum any time during the 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday hours. Guests can hear a presentation by student interns. Four representatives of the Logan Islamic Center speak between 11 a.m. and noon.
“Islam is one of the world’s largest growing religions,” said museum intern Amanda Woolston. “But, it is still one of the least understood. We hope to educate adults and children and hopefully help them change their perceptions a bit.”
The USU Museum of Anthropology is on the USU campus in the south turret of the historic Old Main building, room 252. Free parking is available in the adjacent lot, south of the building.
