Leah Dunagan Named an Athletic Trainer at Utah State

Dunagan has spent the last six years at Bridgeport (Conn.), where she worked with the volleyball, gymnastics and women’s lacrosse teams and served as the insurance coordinator for Purple Knight student-athletes. Prior to Bridgeport, Dunagan was a graduate assistant at North Carolina State, working with women’s soccer and volleyball and assisting with the gymnastic and co-ed cheer-leading teams.

Dunagan earned a master’s degree in adult and higher education, with a health education emphasis, from NCSU, following her undergraduate degree in health promotion, with an athletic training emphasis, from Cincinnati. Dunagan was a cheerleader for the Bearkats during her freshman year and competed in gymnastics and cheer in her hometown of Solon, Ohio.

“I am very excited to be joining the sports medicine staff at Utah State,” Dunagan said. “I want to thank Mike Williams and the athletic staff for this opportunity. With my experience and gymnastics background, I believe this I will be a great asset to the team and the university. Go Aggies!”

Dunagan will work with the gymnastics team at Utah State, in addition to other duties within the sports medicine department.
