Jump Off the Debt Treadmill

There’s no time like the present to tackle your credit card debt, says Adrie Roberts, Utah State University Extension family/consumer science agent. To get started, stop adding new debt by using only cash for purchases. Cut up all credit cards except for one reserved strictly for emergencies. Next, determine exactly how much you owe and devise a debt elimination plan. Consider paying down your debt with savings or take on a temporary, part-time job.
