iUTAH featured on Utah Education Network Jan. 26
A statewide, multi-organization research project, iUTAH stands for 'innovative Urban Transitions and Aridregion Hydro-sustainability.' The five-year project is funded by the National Science Foundation.
iUTAH — short for “innovative Urban Transitions and Aridregion Hydro-sustainability” ? is featured in the video, “iUTAH: Water Science for Utah’s Future” airing Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at 8:30 p.m. on Utah Education Network TV’s SciTech Now program.
The video will air on additional public TV partner networks.
iUTAH, funded by the National Science Foundation, is an interdisciplinary research project dedicated to preserving Utah’s water resources. Comprised of a statewide network of researchers, universities, governmental agencies, industry partners and non-profit organizations, including Utah State University, it is the first water monitoring project of this scale to be attempted in the history of the state.
The five-year, $20-million award went into effect August 2012. iUTAH is headed by professor Michelle Baker of USU’s Department of Biology and the USU Ecology Center.
