Irreparable River

The mighty Colorado River will never be the same, says USU researcher John Schmidt. Giant power-generating dams on the river, upon which burgeoning Western states depend, have caused massive erosion and endangered native fish. “It’s time for Americans to realize they cannot have huge dams without impairing natural river ecosystems,” says Schmidt.
