Irish Comedy Continues its Run at USU

The Utah State Theatre production of The Cripple of Inishmaan enters its second week of performances at the Caine Lyric Theatre, 28 W. Center, Logan, Oct. 6-9. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m.

The production is presented by Utah State University’s Department of Theatre Arts in the Caine College of the Arts.

The Cripple of Inishmaan is a comedy,” said the play’s director Colin Johnson. “It’s a good Irish story packed with likeable characters filled with flaws. The Cripple of Inishmaan is sure to make you think.”

This play has been rated “M” for Mature by the Caine College of the Arts.

“We want to issue a strong discretionary warning,” Johnson said. “The play is a comedy, but includes authentic Irish language and imagery.”

Tickets are $13 for reserved seating, $11 for USU faculty and staff, $9 for all non-USU students and free for USU students who present a current ID.

Tickets can be purchased at the Caine College of the Arts Box Office in the Chase Fine Arts Center, Room 139-B, or at the Caine College of the Arts Dean’s Office Box Office, open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased online or by phone at 435-797-8022.

USU’s Caine College of the Arts presents more than 500 events each academic year. For information on upcoming events, visit its website.
