Inspirational Speaker and Business Ethics Professor Corey Ciocchetti Visits
Corey Ciocchetti is a featured speaker on the USU campus in the Taggart Student Center Auditorium Monday, Oct. 19, at 5 p.m. His appearance is coordinated by USU's Access and Diversity Center.
Utah State University’s Access and Diversity Center presents “Inspire Integrity: Chase an Authentic Life” by Corey Ciocchetti on the USU campus in the Taggart Student Center Auditorium Monday, Oct. 19, at 5 p.m. The presentation is free and open to the public.
Ciocchetti comes to USU as part of the USU Daniels Fund Scholars, where his lecture encourages audiences to chase the truly important things in life such as a solid character, strong personal relationships and a sense of contentment. These “real rabbits” are compared and contrasted to worldly success such as excessive wealth, popularity and prestige.
Audience members leave Ciocchetti’s presentation with a better sense of what it takes to develop character, set priorities, gain a big-picture perspective and chase an authentic life, according to USU’s Access and Diversity Center.
Ciocchetti hold a Juris doctorate and is an associate professor of business ethics and legal studies in the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver (DU). He clerked for the Honorable John Kane in U.S. District Court in Colorado and founded and ran a small business providing sports programs to cities and parks and recreation districts before joining DU.
Ciocchetti has received numerous accolades, including the Charles Hewitt Master Teacher Award from the Academy of Legal Studies in Business, the Outstanding Professor of the Year Award by the University of Denver Alumni Association, the Scholarship of Teaching Award by the Daniels College of Business and the Scholarship of Discovery Award by the Daniels College of Business. In August 2010 Ciocchetti won the Holmes-Cardozo Award for top conference paper and also received the Distinguished Junior Faculty Member award by the Academy of Legal Studies in Business. His articles appear in his discipline’s top journals and have been downloaded more than 27,000 times.
