HASS TimePiece Returns to Logan Golf and Country Club

The HASS Hour, a monthly series offered by the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at Utah State University, returns to its original location, the Logan Golf and Country Club (710 North 1500 East). During the recent construction at the country club, HASS Hour was held at the Italian Place in downtown Logan. HASS Hour thanks the Italian Place for its generous hospitality.

HASS Hour puts a faculty member or administrator in the spotlight to share insights, research or creative activity. Faculty members are featured in a 10-minute “TimePiece.” A portion of socializing and fun is served along the way as well, said Gary Kiger, HASS dean.

 

October’s event features the Fry Street Quartet and its members Williams Fedkenheuer (violin), Rebecca McFaul (violin), Russell Fallstad (viola) and Anne Francis (cello). The Fry Street Quartet and its members are artists in residence at Utah State University, based in the Department of Music and the Caine School of the Arts. The title of the quartet’s “TimePiece” is “Pedaling the Beethoven Cycle” and will be presented Thursday, Oct. 18.

 

HASS Hour begins with a social gathering at 5:15 p.m., and the TimePiece begins at approximately 6 p.m. Food, including hors d’oeuvres, is served during the social hour. Admission is $10 for individuals and $18 for couples.
