HASS Hour Features Faculty Members in 10-Minute Informational Sessions
The HASS Hour, a monthly series offered by the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at Utah State University, puts a faculty member in the spotlight to share insights, research or creative activity. Faculty members are featured in a 10-minute “TimePiece.” A portion of socializing and fun is served along the way as well, said Gary Kiger, HASS dean.
October’s featured speaker is Jennifer Peeples, an associate professor in the Department of Languages, Philosophy and Speech Communication, who will provide “No Mobs — Nor Confusions — No Tumult: Organizing Civil Disobedience.” Peeples is featured Thursday, Oct. 19, at the Italian Place, 28 Federal Avenue, Logan.
HASS hour begins with a social hour at 5:15 p.m., and the TimePiece begins at 6 p.m. Food, including hor’s douvres, is served during the social hour. Admission is $10 for individuals and $18 for couples.
“Please join us monthly for these enjoyable sessions,” Kiger said. “I’m often surprised at the breadth and depth of information that our faculty provides. I always learn something and I always have fun.”
