Halloween Storytelling at USU's Museum of Anthropology

Halloween is approaching and in its continuation of the new Saturday activity series, the Utah State University Museum of Anthropology is teaming up with the Student Folklore club to present an afternoon of Halloween stories.

Activities take place Saturday, Oct. 27. Throughout the day, museum guests can listen to older and modern Halloween folklore and learn more about the origins of Halloween.

 

“Halloween is based around superstitions and folklore,” said student intern Amanda Woolson. “Understanding the folklore of Halloween makes the holiday even more fun to celebrate. The combination of folklore and anthropology will bring the understanding of Halloween to a new level.”

 

USU students and members of the public can drop in any time during the museum’s new 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday hours.

 

The Museum of Anthropology is on the USU campus in the south turret of the historic Old Main building, room 252. Free parking is available in the adjacent lot, south of the building.
