Good Hair Days
In the United States, food servers, bellhops, cab drivers and many others rely on tips to make a living. USU researchers found that female hairstylists consistently received higher tips if they told a client, "Your hair looks terrific," than if they offered no compliment at all. The findings suggest that ingratiation may foster increased customer satisfaction.
