Each month Utah State University’s Dining Services focuses on one of its seven core values and selects an hourly employee who exemplifies the month’s core value. For December 2016, Dining Services highlighted “Empowerment” as everyone within the organization is empowered to make decisions within policies. Marketplace employee Geoff Prusak was honored to named December 2016 Employee of the Month for USU Dining Services.

The question Dining Services always asks before making a decision is whether or not it leads to an excellent college experience. The organization holds itself accountable for its decisions and actions and takes ownership in everything it does.

“Geoff Prusak has gone far and above expectations to organize our dry storage and kitchen,” said Jeff Woolley, executive chef and general manager of University Catering. “Geoff has shown initiative in a labeling system as well as creating an inventory for The Marketplace. Geoff shows great ability in accomplishing tasks given to him. All around a great asset to USU Dining Services.”

As Decembers Dining Services’ Employee of the Month, Geoff received a plaque and a $50 Aggie Express Gift Card, presented by Alan Andersen, Executive Director of Dining Services.
