Free, Confidential Alcohol Screening Offered April 5 at USU
In observance of National Alcohol Screening Day, Utah State University’s Student Health and Wellness Center hosts a free screening and informational session Thursday, April 5 on campus. A booth staffed with counselors will be available to visitors from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Stevenson East Ballroom of the Taggart Student Center.
“This is an opportunity for students, faculty and staff to receive confidential screening regarding their personal alcohol use and to discuss their concerns in a nonjudgmental setting with trained counselors,” said Tiffany Adams, SWC health education specialist and event organizer.
The booth will feature video presentations about responsible alcohol use, along with educational literature and information about resources and support groups in the community that can assist with alcohol-related problems. Visitors participating in screening will receive their choice of a coupon for free Aggie Ice Cream or Hazel’s Bread.
