Fox Reporter John Stossel Interviews USU Business Professor About Sin Taxes

John Stossel interviewed Utah State University’s Huntsman School of Business economics and finance professor Michael Thomas on the Fox Business network show “Stossel,” asking him about research he has done on “sin taxes” with William F. Shughart II. Shughart is research director and senior fellow at The Independent Institute and is the J. Fish Smith Professor in Public Choice at USU.

Thomas said such taxes can have unintended consequences, such as creating black markets.
