Football Has Three Additional 2015 Nationally Televised Friday Night Games

Utah State [University] football has three additional nationally televised Friday night games it was announced Wednesday [April 15, 2015] as the Mountain West released its initial slate of 11 televised games set for national broadcast on Thursday and Friday nights by CBS Sports Network and the three ESPN networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU).

Utah State's home game against Boise State will now be played on Friday, Oct. 16, and televised nationally on CBS Sports Network at 7 p.m. Furthermore, USU’s road game at San Diego State will now be played Friday, Oct. 23, and televised nationally on ESPN2 at 8:30 p.m. (MT), while its home game against Wyoming will now be played Friday, Oct. 30, and televised nationally on ESPN2 at 8:15 p.m.

Utah State also announced earlier this year that its road opener at in-state rival Utah had been moved to Friday, Sept. 11, and will be televised live to a national audience on a network to be announced later.

During the 2014 season, Utah State had 11 nationally televised games on CBS Sports Network and the EPSN family of networks.

Other Friday night games involving Mountain West teams that will be televised by CBS Sports Network and one of the ESPN Networks include: Colorado at Hawai'i, Thursday, Sept. 3, 11 p.m. MT (CBSSN); Washington at Boise State, Friday, Sept. 4, 8:15 p.m. MT (ESPN); Idaho State at Boise State, Friday, Sept. 18, 7 p.m. MT (CBSSN); UNLV at Fresno State Friday, Oct. 16, 8:30 p.m. MT (ESPN2); Nevada at Fresno State, Thursday, Nov. 5, 8:30 p.m. MT (ESPN2); BYU at San Jose State, Friday, Nov. 6, 9:30 p.m. MT (CBSSN); Air Force at Boise State, Friday, Nov. 20, 7:30 p.m. MT (ESPN2); and Boise State at San Jose State, Friday, Nov. 27,  1:30 p.m. MT (CBSSN).

Between the two television partners, up to 48 football games will be televised this year on their various national platforms. Additional broadcasts by CBS Sports Network, ESPN networks, ROOT SPORTS and the Mountain West Network powered by Campus Insiders will be announced in the coming weeks.

Utah State opens the 2015 season Thursday, Sept. 3, at home against Southern Utah and begin Mountain West play Saturday, Oct. 3, at home against Colorado State.
