Folklore Curator to Present Overview of Northern Utah Speaks

Randy Williams, folklore curator and oral history specialist at Utah State University, will provide an overview of Northern Utah Speaks, the oral history archives at the Merrill-Cazier Library, Friday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Logan LDS Tabernacle (50 North Main).

Williams is featured in the series during a presentation that is part of the Tabernacle Concert and Lecture Series. The lecture series is free and open to the public.

 

Williams will share recordings and highlights from the collections that include a number of project areas, including the Fife Mormon Collection, the Grouse Creek Cultural Survey, Living Traditions of the Bear River Heritage Area and the most current project, Latino Voices.

 

This is a unique chance to learn about oral history and hear voices from past and present community members.
