Flags at Half-Staff in Utah

Utah Gov. Gary R. Herbert has authorized the lowering of the flag of the United States of America and Utah’s state flag Wednesday, Feb. 5, in honor of fallen Utah County Officer Sgt. Cori Blake Wride.

The flags will be flown at half-staff at all state facilities from sunrise to sunset Feb. 5.

Sgt. Wride, a member of the Utah County Sherriff’s Department, was killed while on duty Jan. 30, 2014.

Funeral services will be held Feb. 5 at 11 a.m. at the UCCU Center on the campus of Utah Valley University, 800 W. University Parkway, Orem, Utah. Interment will be at the Spanish Fork Cemetery, 420 S. 400 East, Spanish Fork, Utah, following the funeral.
