Flags at Half-Staff Honor Utah Flash Flood Victims

Utah Gov. Gary R. Herbert has authorized the lowering of the flag of the United States and the state of Utah at all state facilities Thursday, Sept. 17, through Friday, Sept. 18.

The flags will be lowered in observance of the tragic incidents in Hildale, Utah, and Zion National Park.

Flags will fly at half-staff to honor the lives lost in the flash floods and as a tribute to the heroes and first responders who came to their aid, the governor said in a statement released from his office.
