Flags at Half-Staff
Utah Gov. Gary R. Herbert has authorized the lowering of the flag of the United States of America and Utah’s state flag Friday, Sept. 6, in honor of fallen Draper police officer Sgt. Derek Johnson.
The flags will be flown at half-staff at all state facilities from sunrise to sunset Sept. 6.
Sgt. Johnson, a member of the Draper, Utah, police department, was killed while on duty Sunday morning, Sept. 1.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, Sept. 6, at 11 a.m. The viewings and funeral will be held at the Maverik Center, 3200 Decker Lake Drive, West Valley City, Utah.
