Firewise Landscaping

While no plant is fireproof, landscaping with firewise plants is a simple way to reduce wildfire risk on your property, says USU Extension Forester Mike Kuhns. Plants that are compact, grow low to the ground, and stay green and healthy with minimal water are good choices in residential developments near natural landscapes and wilderness areas.
