Few Women, Minority Urban Foresters

Though women and minorities represent only 15 percent of America's urban foresters, discrimination does not appear to be a major factor in keeping them out of the profession. USU researcher Mike Kuhns, who conducted a national study on the subject, suspects the dearth reflects the broader shortage of these groups in science-related fields.
