Fertile Farmland

USU water experts are helping Iraq to improve its farmlands and increase crop production in the region with a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Iraq’s land has been traditionally rich, but over time, improper drainage of irrigation water has led to problems. USU will work with Iraq to help it establish better irrigation methods.
